Woody is the very nice and pleasant young man who holds down the tenor spot for CHAPTER III. He comes to CHAPTER III while following in the footsteps of his father, Woody Jackson, Sr., who spent many years performing in Central Florida Gospel music circles. After serving with several of Florida's better known Gospel music groups, most notably, The Floridians and The Florida Diplomats, Woody brings his wonderful and talented voice to the music ministry of CHAPTER III. You will love oody's tenor voice and understand why Ron Booth (former tenor singer for the famous Rebel's Quartet) says "Woody has all the tools needed to be one of the great's of Gospel music'". Woody serves as the group's prayer leader. He and his wife, Frances, are very active in their church. You will find yourself coming back again and again to hear this young man's singing.

Woody Jackson was born on December 6, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri. He moved to Lakeland, Florida in November of 1964. Woody's singing career was the result of following in his Dad's footsteps. His father, Woody Jackson, Sr., was a very talented tenor singer with some of Central Florida's earliest and most popular groups.

In 1992, Woody's first singing job was as the tenor singer for the very popular PEACE RIVER BOYS. He later spent time with the SUNSHINE HARMONY BOYS, TRUST QUARTET, the FLORIDIANS and the FLORIDA DIPLOMATS.

In 2002, Woody was approached by James Taylor and Ken Hughey and offered a position as tenor singer and co-founding partner in a new group, CHAPTER III TRIO. CHAPTER III hasn't slowed down since its inception. Woody quickly won the hearts of Florida Gospel Music fans and is accepted as being the number one best tenor vocalist in the State.

Woody Jackson remains a close friend with the famous BOOTH BROTHERS, America's #1 Southern Gospel Group. The BOOTH'S father, Ron Booth, Sr., sang professionally with Ken Hughey, and knew the fine quality Ken would be seeking in a tenor singer. Ron recommended Woody Jackson and the rest is a very pleasant success story called the CHAPTER THREE TRIO.
